Unlike many of the other pieces from this update, the schorl (tourmaline) inclusions in this euclase are all oriented in the same direction and run parallel next to each other along the length of the crystal! This is part of a new find from Brazil in early 2020 of sharp, doubly terminated euclase with black, contrasting schorl inclusions. The smallest piece from the lot is this 0.95 g, doubly-terminated crystal; a fine thumbnail specimen. There's a shallow contact on the backside but it doesn't detract from the main display angle. We purchased nearly the entire pocket and are now ready to release an update of the unusual new mineral association!
