Totally gemmy, these Fluorites are from two finds in 1961 and 1963 on the 210m level of the Caecilia Mine. The Fluorites have the very rare (731) habit, which creates elongated, complex crystals resembling calcite! The light amber color is quite attractive, as are the multiple faces that are silky to almost glassy. There is one 3 cm long string of Cinnabar that runs through the massive Fluorite matrix below the crystals, which makes an unusual and remarkable association and lends color. The Fluorite crystals are well-terminated and in excellent condition. The aesthetics are very good, and the piece has mineralogical interest and importance beyond its display quality. Excellent fluorescence. This was the most elegant cluster of crystals for such a specimen from her collection and is prominently illustrated in the recent 64-page article on Kay in Mineralien Welt (6-2017). Kay had a suite of these in her German collection and treasured them. I have not seen for sale elsewhere. Kay purchased these right after they were found from the German dealer Zieber, and noted "rare" at the time. She later wrote an article on the find, as well. They remain unique, to this day.
