Rich Kosnar obtained the specimen from his old friend and former partner, mineral dealer Walt Lidstrom. This piece is a great historic example of intergrown pair of vivid, gemmy pink Tourmaline crystals with minor associated Lepidolite and Albite (var: "Cleavelandite") The crystals are very lustrous, with complete basal terminations, and excellent color. To top it off, on the back (reverse) side of the specimen there is a small "cat's eye" Tourmaline crystal of a pale pink color. The bottom of the specimen shows that these crystals are not pink throughout, but actually have green "cores" at the base. Ex. Richard Kosnar Collection.
