This is arguably one of the finer crystallized specimens of millerite from this deposit. It came to me originally from one of the few people who brought them out to market, a retired priest and mineral collector named Marty Lewadny. This would have ben nearly a decade ago, and it has been in a private collection, since. Emplaced on milky white quartz and in vugs are velvety clusters of brilliantly lustrous, golden millerite crystals, that average 8 mm in length. There are so many crystals in each of the velvety clusters that they appear to be greenish black until you look closely, from the light reflecting off so many little crystal tips. A superb, rich specimen from a now defunct locale. Ex Marty Lewadny and Wouter van Tichelen collections.
