Perched high on contrasting white matrix, are discrete crystals of glassy and gemmy, beautiful green demantoid. The equant crystals reach 1.5 cm across and most are superbly isolated, showing all faces. This is one of the better matrix specimens for the size and price range, with top, very green color and good crystal size. There is no damage, and all crystals are very 3-dimensional! The contrast to the stark white matrix is very appealing and dramatic on this specimen. The matrix is limestone, metamorphosed geologically to garnet (yes: garnet on garnet...)
