Jeremejevite is a rare gem borate mineral that is typically yellow, but the Mile 72 locality in Namibia has produced the finest blue crystals of the species extant. The locality is a pegmatite directly on the beach in Namibia, (see this link for a photo: http://www.mindat.org/photo-129179.html), and has produced very little in the way of Jeremejevite in recent years. This specimen is a very attractive, gem quality, sharp, lustrous, well-formed, prismatic hexagonal crystal with a pale blue color. It is virtually water clear throughout, and is nearly a floater save for one tiny contact on one end.
