A very large, beautiful and interesting combination specimen from the classic Panasqueira locality - in fact, a combination that is quite familiar from there, but not in the unique form. What you have is a single large, complete quartz crystal jutting up at the back of an immense crystal of siderite; that's right that is not a chunk of tan matrix, but a gigantic, complete discus-shaped crystal of siderite. At the front edge, the siderite has grown around a jumble of large ferberite crystals. Smaller siderite crystals have also grown on the quartz crystal, and the quartz has partially grown around them. Ex. Nowakowski Collection.
