A superb cabinet plate of sparkling, pearlescent, lamellar baryte blades from the Baia Sprie Mine of Romania. The composite crystals are up to 3.0 cm across and many of the tips are water-clear on this dramatic piece. The matrix back is really unusual. It is a cemented breccia. Pieces of this size and quality came out in the 1980s, with none since.
