A beautiful, gem, 1.8 cm, twinned, cherry-red sphalerite crystal is very aesthetically attached to the sparkly, drusy quartz-covered, two-sided matrix crust on this fine specimen from recent finds in Hunan Province, China. Very highly representative of the species and locale. These are some of the finest and gemmiest sphalerites in the world.
