This 27-gram, color zoned elbaite crystal is the classic "watermelon" mix where the core of the crystal is pinkish-red and the edges are a pastel greenish-blue. In spite of internal crazing, the crystal is glassy and gemmy. Note there is edge damage, shallow but present, all around the muted termination.
