A very rare and large single amethyst crystal from a locality rarely represented in any collections but for old museums. This was, before Mexico, perhaps THE classic locale for large amethyst points in Europe. The crystal has great color and luster, combined with fascinating hoppered pyramid faces that for some reason are not often seen in amethyst (though common enough in smoky quartz). ex Gene & Roz Meieran Collection, through Arkenstone, Robert Nowakowski Collection #RN78.
