Brazilianite on Smoky Quartz
This is the only such specimen I have ever seen, of brazilianite from the original 1940s finds associated with smoky quartz. The contrast is striking! The brazilianite is exceptionally lustrous and gemmy as you would want for a specimen from the older finds, still not beaten by anything found later on at several other locales in Brazil. This is a unique, competition-quality miniature from an old collection in Europe, from whence I got it in trade.
