A blocky, sharp, doubly terminated, sapphire crystal from Sri Lanka and the Dick Jones Collection. This is an unusual crystal form for Sri Lanka sapphires, with the pinacoidal terminations. Most crystals from here have the classic tapered terminations. This pristine, opaque, crystal has moderate luster and is periwinkle-blue. It is from a very uncommon locale - Galbkka in Uva Province.
