Dioptase from Tsumeb is world famous. This specimen features a large crystal displayed at one end, measuring 2.4 cm in length, perched aesthetically on matrix. All the dioptase crystals are glassy and translucent, with a rich emerald green color. Ex. Howard Belsky collection along with his label. A fine display quality miniature, without breaking the bank. These came out in the mid 1980s as "poor man's emerald" and have been climbing in value ever since. This is an affordable miniature, that is truly fine when on display and worthy to stand with gem crystals and other classics.
