An OLD-TIME, SHOWY and RARE reticulated cerussite from Tsumeb. This colorful, densely reticulated cerussite is heavily included with malachite, which is rare for Tsumeb cerussites. Historically, this fine piece goes WAY BACK into the early history of Tsumeb. Wilhelm Maucher was in charge of the mineral repository at the Freiberg Mining Academy and published the FIRST major investigation on Tsumeb minerals. He became a full-time mineral dealer in Munich in 1908, so this piece probably dates to before World War I. Ex. H. Westenberger Collection.
