An excellent and showy CABINET plate of cherry-red rhodochrosite rhombs to 1.4 cm embedded on water-clear quartz crystals from the famous Huayllapon Mine at Pasto Bueno, Peru. You can see that the rhodos grew around or on the quartz needles. Specimens of this quality came out in the 1970s to early 1980s and are in fact, rarer than Sweet Home rhodos. Ex..
