Pyrite is not the first thing you think of when you think about the classic Mexican locality of Zacatecas, but the mines did produce a modest number of good pyrite specimens back in the day. This is a large, blocky crystal, with a fine golden-metallic sheen to it. Those are natural jagged bevels on the edges. Old material from the 1970s. Ex. Consie Prince Collection.
