A 4.5-cm long, doubly-terminated, gemmy, perfect augelite sits perched in the nest of gemmy little quartz clusters in this perfectly balanced miniature! This is a world class example of the species, quite possibly the best. But it also conforms to any of the strictest criteria for a balanced, beautiful fine mineral specimen. Mined in 2012, this will be premiered shortly on the cover of the Denver 2014 issue of Mineralogical Record. Joe Budd photos.
