Rogerley Mine fluorites rarely present with large, isolated crystals. This balanced small cabinet sized specimen shows off a fantastic, rich saturated green crystal with uniform color and excellent luster, right in the middle. The crystal is 3 x 3 x 2.3 cm in size. It is balanced by sidecar crystals, and perched on just the right amount of brownstone matrix to give it a display orientation and somewhere to sink into a base. The crystal is undamaged on edges and corners, but had a natural shallow contact or gap on one edge that was unsighlty, and I have had it filled on that spot with epoxy (1mm shallow, 5mm wide), for aesthetic purposes. This is from the personal collection of Polish collector/dealer Tomasz Praszkier, who obtained it at the mine many years ago. Rumors say this was the last year of workings here. MORE gemmy and translucent in person, than it appears in the photos.
