Incredibly gemmy and lustrous, WELL-TERMINATED, bright cherry-red realgar crystals on this unusually rich, and well-preserved old realgar from Washington state! I am told these came out in the 1940s and 50s but I really cannot confirm - having seen so few for sale, overall, with any dating. You seldom see such pieces on the market, and then only from old collections. I have never seen a larger piece for sale, in fact. This is an extremely showy piece with the crystals lined up in parallel growth. Ex. George Elling Collection.
