A light blue matrix of chrysocolla is the host for HUGE and unusually robust, 3-dimensional clinoatacamite crystals. Lustrous, blocky crystals of deep forest-green clinoatacamite, to 1.1 cm in length, form a thick ridge atop the contrasting powder blue matrix, and it is all sparkling and lustrous. So far as I know and have seen, this is the finest display specimen of this rare species that has come out form three different sources I have kept eyes on over the last two years, here. It has phenomenal luster which makes it very hard to photograph, and I can only say it is MUCH better in person.
