Jeanbandyite is a very rare (seven localities worldwide) tin oxide, here from the Mt. Pleasant Mine in Canada. I have never seen it before, except in micros from Bolivia. The tan, botryoidal crusts of Jeanbandyite, which can be over a mm thick, contrast nicely with the completely gemmy, light green Fluorite and the dark, metallic grey coating of sparkly, micro Chalcocite. The Fluorite also has an excellent, deep blue fluorescence. While not the most elegant specimen perhaps, the quality of each individual species, and the importance of the combination for the locality, make this a very worthwhile small cabinet piece. Ex David Joyce in 1988 (and his ID can be trusted!) The jeanbandyite is eye-visible in rich crusts.
