Velvety lustrous crystals of malachite replacements (pseudomorphs) after azurite, shimmering with color, to 2 cm make this piece a very 3-dimensional plate. There are dozens of crystals here. Milpillas has stunned the mineral world with brilliantly lustrous Tsumeb-quality malachite and azurite specimens. However, most of them are small pieces, more gracile. The look of this kind of malachite strongly suggests Tsumeb material. This specimen was mined in July of 2008. Weighs 1400 grams.
