Nagyagite, before it was identified, was simply known as a strange form of tellurium - and thus the label for foliated tellurium dates the piece back to the 1840s (it was named in 1845). The Bryce Wright label corresponds with this, as he dealt in that era of the mid-1800s. As for the piece itself, it is important because of its size and richness - though the crystals are small and flat-lying, there are a lot of them. Notably, though, the piece was never cleaned in acid which is commonly done to remove the quartz, and which leaves the crystals lusterless.
