Gemmy Siderites are a rarity any time, and even more so from Tsumeb. Two generations of these attractive, golden-brown Siderites richly cover the matrix. The larger, modified scalenohedrons reach up to 1.4 cm, and their very good luster is enhanced by a subtly undulating texture on the main faces, as well as the striations along the beveled edges. This is an excellent and showy small cab. From Sussman's original Tsumeb collection, sold in the early 2000's, this is a choice miniature and a rare species example for the mine. Notably, the crystals are really distinct form siderite elsewhere, as well.
