These quartzes are sometimes called "Herkimer diamonds" due to their unusual clarity and high luster. They are found in cavities in large, hard boulders at the Herkimer locality. This is a complete floater, with no contacts or damage, terminated on both ends (multiply terminated on one end). It has the bituminous inclusions that you commonly see with these.
