Unusual paragenesis: Anchored by a core of gemmy purple Fluorite, the Calcite crystals, which range up to 1.8 cm, are sharp and prismatic. The Calcites are gemmy to translucent and have an appealing buff color. There is minimal cleavage, and that near the periphery, as to be expected. This was mined in the 1970's. The Calcites are coated by white crystalline Baryte with crystals ranging from micro size to 1-2 mm. Looking like a winter scene, this is a fine, attractive specimen. RCL 716
