A fine old specimen from the classic Mexican locale for this species. It was obtained from the Jack Young collection by Martin Zinn back in the day, then passed into the Kerith Graeber Mexican collection. It was later sold to Ken Rippere, whose collection was just sold off at Tucson 2013. This is an exceptionally elegant and displayable specimen for the location, since most pieces from here are rather blocky pieces with the crystals lost amongst mass. The sharp elongated bournonites contrast with the sparkling pyrite, and the bournonite cluster atop is 3 cm across. It is an excellent example of the species from this seldom-seen locale. Marty Zinn, Jack Young, Kerith Graeber, Ken Rippere collections. Joe Budd Photos.
