Rhodochrosite from the San Juan mountains is one of the staples of any good Colorado or Rhodochrosite collection. The Mountain Monarch mine has produced some superb Rhodochrosites in its day, and sadly, this mine is now closed and will no longer produce these great specimen. This piece features a few very attractive light pink color rhombohedra with sharp faces and a rich pink color inside when the crystal is backlit.
