Resembling a sandwich, two layers of massive gray blue alkali-rich beryl have grown on either side of a blue-coated layer of albite. I believe that blue powder is more beryl. On the bottom, a layer of alkali-rich beryl has also enclosed some broken red elbaite tourmaline crystals, to 2.4 cm in length. On the display side is a cluster of tabular, doubly terminated, lustrous and translucent, sky blue, alkali-rich beryl crystals to 1.8 cm across. Very unusual! These were originally thought to be Rosterite or Vorobyevite, but further analysis by Dr. Federico Pezzotta confirmed they are alkali-rich beryls.
