A fine cluster of gem quality, cherry-red crocoite crystals with orange-fire highlights from the 1970s finds at the Red Lead Mine of Tasmania. The crystals on this two-sided piece are beautifully accented by bits of attached matrix. These have been considered by many to be about the finest crocoites ever to come from Tasmania. Ex. Ed Ruggiero Collection and purchased from well-known dealer and collector Al McGuiness in 1975.
