Two, almost pristine, large, mirror bright, brassy yellow, modified octahedrons of pyrite are intergrown. This specimen is also characterized by preferential etching on the octahedral faces. The largest crystal measures 6.0 cm on a side. Specimens of this quality are seen very rarely and NOT to be treated with common disdain for a common species! This is SPECTACULAR and of rare quality, quite apart fomr the wholesale rubbish we see so much of. 7.9 X 7.6 X 3.5 cm
