Safflorite, Dyscrasite, Stibarsen
Safflorite is an uncommon cobalt iron arsenide. A 1.3 cm curtain of silvery-bright, spongy safflorite microcrystals artfully rests in vuggy matrix with dark gray dyscrasite and etched milky quartz. The CABINET matrix is MOST UNUSUAL and SHOWY, being SOLID banded, botryoidal "allemontite." "Allemontite" is a RARE natural alloy of variable composition of arsenic and antimony. This is a very FINE combination piece from Pribram. Ex. Petr Ondrus and Josef Vajdak Collections. Vajdak is a noted Pribram specialist. This is, for what it is, a fine piece, valued by Josef quite highly.
