Shigaite is a rare aluminum manganese sulfate. This showy and excellent crust features a well-placed strand of gemmy, dark cherry-red compound shigaite crystals placed across the top of the rich coverage of very sparkly, transparent, rose-red rhodochrosite crystals, which are sprinkled with gemmy, cherry-red, micro shigaite crystals.
