A flashy, jet-black Ilvaite crystal highlights this classic combination from the famous Dalnegorsk area. The luster on the Ilvaite is superb. The well-formed termination and complex, stepped prism faces have so many individual surfaces that the dozens upon dozens of reflections simply dazzle. Add to this the lovely string of dipyramidal Quartz crystals that extends from the Ilvaite, and you have a wonderful thumbnail. The contacting on the back has no effect whatsoever on the excellent aesthetics.
