These Altai Mountain fluorites are just NOT AVAILABLE anywhere. This specimen and three large ones in a recent gallery update turned up as a total fluke from a contact who had them stashed away. They were found some years back in this mountainous area near Mongolia which hasn't yet produced much compared to other parts of China. Deep purple, stepped cubes with tiered cubic sub-terminations. 6 x 4.5 x 2.7 cm
