Highly lustrous and gemmy, dark emerald-green dioptase crystals richly and aesthetically cover the 3-dimensional matrix on this fine specimen from the classic locality of Brazzaville (Reneville), Republic of Congo. The largest crystal is 1.6 cm and it is doubly terminated. The bit of matrix has some chrysocolla, which is a nice accent. From the 1950 or 1960s.
