Stunning luster and grape jelly color mark the best of these classic USA quartz specimens. This piece is typical of JXR Mine, with a closely packed "flower" of crystals sharing a common base, and forming a flower that often breaks off the matrix in the mine. It is nearly complete all around, with just a few trivial dings (3 or 4, or it would be 3x the price, I must say). It really does have the top luster, and sparkles nicely in a case. Having been to the mine and seen it in operation, I can tell you this place is literally worse than a needle in a haystack - the ground is mostly barren and most pockets are even empty. It is real WORK to find anything, and a labor of love for the owners and miners here. Do not expect large production in the future. A wonderful talk on this locality was given at our Dallas Symposium (2016), by the way.
