A rich, sparkling specimen of the copper, lead sulphate Caledonite. The crystals have the intense blue color that the species is known for, with the luster being superb and the gemminess very good. There are dozens of these bright Caledonites, up to about 3 mm, and they are concentrated in several sparkly vugs. Not many good specimens have survived from here over the years, so it is good that the crystals are protected the vugs. Tiger has some of the brightest and most lustrous of the Caledonites, although these tend to be smaller. A fine large thumbnail/toenail sized piece, with lots of sparkle! #1286, and thus from the 1950's.
