An old-time, excellent rhodochrosite specimen from the Emma Mine at Butte. Flattened, moderately lustrous, salmon-pink rhodochrosite rhombs cover the matrix of solid rhodochrosite on this piece. Accompanied by an old, faded Schortmann's label and another dealer label indicates that the piece was collected in the 1930s. Very rich, solid rhodochroiste from this historic locale. Ex.
