This is a rather large plate of N'Chwaning Mine inesite. A lot of people do not realize that inesite came from the mine back in the early days, confusing it for pale colored Wessels Mine inesite which came out also sporadically, but was often of more intense color and formed bigger clusters of crystals. This is, however, a bona fide old N'Chwaning piece. Large plates like this are hard to come by. Charlie, as the master of South African collecting, probably kept it for that reason - the size. Most such specimens have similar sized crystals, similar color, but the size of this plate is beyond normal (as also its pristine condition). Ex. Charlie Key.
