An historic wire Silver specimen from the famous mining district of Colquechaca. This area is well known for its Silver minerals, and specimens of Native Silver are highly regarded by collectors. This piece was mined around WWII, and came to Brian Kosnar from the Federico Ahlfeld collection (the father of Bolivian mineralogy). It features a very aesthetic flattened wire of Silver flaring out of massive white Quartz matrix. Ex. Brian Kosnar Collection.
