Gratonite
A superb thumbnail specimen composed entirely of sharp, lustrous, metallic-gray, trigonal gratonite crystals from the Excelsior Mine, Cerro de Pasco, Peru - the Type Locality. Crystals reach 3 mm. The radial fan of crystals is especially striking. Gratonite is a rare lead, arsenic sulfosalt. Easily 100 years old as most were found in the late 1800s. Ex. Dr. Gary Hansen Collection.
