You do not see Italian garnet specimen around much, since there just are not many around these days -- but they are a European "classic." Here, you have flashy, gemmy, deep wine-red Hessonite garnet crystals to 0.8 cm, some of them showing interesting "ziggurat" terracing. Ex. Bill Larson Garnet collection.
