Gemmy and lustrous, brown eosphorite blades are richly and aesthetically scattered on the sharp, skeletal quartz crystal. Very interestingly, a secondary, gray, iron-oxide preferentially coats the quartz termination and only some of the eosphorite crystals. Eosphorite is a rare phosphate and this fine example from a famous locale for eosphorite - Taquaral, Minas Gerais. Specimens of this quality came out in the 1960s and 1970s and are only available from advanced recycled collections. Ex. Robert Whitmore Collection.
