This is a GIGANTIC Colorado garnet crystal, weighing in at an astounding 760 grams (1 pound, 10 ounces) ! But what is really great about it is that despite its size, it is in glorious condition: super-sharp, with textbook form. Only a couple of the corners have contacts. It has this pretty "patina" look to it from a thin covering of mica that accents the deep burgundy color of the crystal itself. This whopper was in the collection of Richard Gaines of Philadelphia.
