A large, gemmy, sharp, banded, doubly terminated sapphire crystal from the classic locality of Ratnapura, Sri Lanka. This lustrous, sharp beauty has the BEST Kashmir-blue color for a sapphire crystal that I have seen in a long time. The terminations are contacted, but not broken in any way and the trivial edge bruising in a couple of places is barely noticeable. Classic material from a classic locality. Ex. George Elling Collection. 40 grams.
