This is a LARGE, SOLID nodule of GEM variscite from Utah - an old-timer. It has a weather-worn surface, and was sliced open to expose the top-quality variscite inside, then polished at this slice. Variscite of this quality is often used in jewelry, and this specimen can either be used by a lapidary, or kept as a very rich specimen. It weighs 135 grams and is completely pure.
