Gaspeite is a rare nickel, magnesium, iron carbonate. It seldom crystallizes. This rich and fine, two-sided specimen features striking, lime-green gaspeite in massive form. However, it also features a pocket with rounded aggregates of microcrystals, taking up the upper half of this fine piece. This very rich, highly representative specimen is from the 132 North Nickel Mine of Western Australia.
