Lustrous, metallic-gray Stibnite blades form a striking and aesthetic specimen from this old district. This is one of the best-preserved specimen in its size range that I have seen from the antimony mines here, with the delicate beauty matching the delicate nature of the piece. It has been kept safe in a plastic storage box for 50 years! or more! These are rare treasures from the early mining days of California, and no more will ever come out of the ground there. As a USA specimen ,it is irreplaceable. From noted California dealer and collector, Jean Hamel, in 1971.
